Synergize, Explore and Share: Moving Vision to Reality

Written by:

Synergy, as we have gathered experts in Nursing Education, Practice, Management and Research in one collaborative conference; historical as this is the first time after 8 years, that we have witnessed how the 2 International Filipino Nursing leaders worked and shared their passion together, Dino Doliente III, PNAA, Inc. President and PNAAF, Inc President, Merlita Velasquez; powerful, as we listened and benchmarked to messages of our national political leaders that have shaped our health policies (DOH Sec. Paulyn Jean Rosell – Ubial) and provided change in Albay (Cong. Joey Salceda); inspiring, motivating, innovative and trending for all of us participants as we were captivated by speakers stories of their great love for nursing and challenging for us to become a better person and that in “every nurse is a leader: inspiring, empowering and transforming and fun for the tours, cultural presentations and fellowship. These are few statements that best describe the recently concluded 4th International Collaborative Conference sponsored by the Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation, Inc. (PNAAF, Inc.) in collaboration with Bicol University in Legazpi City from January 20 - 21, 2017.

There is no doubt that the world needs nurses, and there is a global preference for the Filipino nurses. This gathering has provided opportunities for Filipino nurses to learn, to meet new friends, to collaborative, to innovate and be inspired. Amidst all the challenges nurses are facing, we remain confidently beautiful with a mind that is conscientious, a heart full of compassion and hands that express competence.

Happy and privileged to be working with great men and women, our partners in service in bringing world class speakers and project collaborations that will have a great impact to the different communities we are involved with (the banca project for fishermen and students; the solar lamps for unlighted homes; the medical, dental and surgical missions, disaster relief assistance and many more).  I am thankful for the trust and confidence you have given for me to collaborate for this worthwhile endeavors – will continue to work for our nurses, our profession and the communities that we have served.  We continue to be of service to humanity and continue to make a difference – and the collaborative conference is a perfect venue for such.  Looking forward to seeing you all in 2019 for the 5th international collaborative conference.

The event circled on the theme, “Exploring the Innovations in Nursing Education, Practice, Management and Research.” (Dr. Chris G. Sorongon, Co – Chair – 4th International Collaborative Conference)
